Balls of Steel
Play through five classic top-down pinball tables, including Darkside, Barbarian, Firestorm, Mutation, and Devil's Island. The Balls of Steel tables have been updated for more modern gameplay, but retain their classic sights and sounds. And there’s more! Atari has added two BRAND NEW tables built in the classic Balls of Steel style: Centipede, and Missile Command.
Showcased at E3 and released in December, 1997, Balls of Steel featured five PC pinball tables with ‘edge and attitude.’ Universal praise followed. GameWeek called Balls of Steel “one of the most entertaining and attractively rendered pinball games ever developed for the home computer. Computer Games Magazine claimed it “was one of the best PC pinball games ever.” PC Games said the “balanced tables, realistic ball movements, an impeccable graphical presentation … guarantee(d) sleepless nights.” Adrenaline Vault gave the title its Reviewers Choice Award, saying “Simply put, I have never been injected with such a stimulating and addictive pinball drug.”
