With Outlaws + Handful of Missions, Nightdive Studios unearths a hidden gem from the wild west of ‘90s FPS classics. Released in 1997, Outlaws was the only other game to use the LucasArts Jedi Engine, created for Star Wars: Dark Forces, known for being one of the first FPS engines to allow players to look up/down, jump, and crouch. Outlaws uses hand-drawn cut scenes to tell the story of an ex-Marshal’s mission of revenge after his life is torn apart. Face off against the good, bad, and even worse as you uncover a twisted plot of greed and corruption in the Old West.
The Remaster includes the Handful of Missions expansion and updates all the visuals with Nightdive’s gold-standard precision and attention to detail. The cinematic cut scenes have been touched-up scene-by-scene, the 3D environments have been extended and optimized, and the enemy models have been rebuilt and reanimated from the ground up. Outlaws + Handful of Missions Remaster also offers Cross-Play Multiplayer with game modes including Deathmatch, Team Play, Capture the Flag, and Kill The Fool With The Chicken.
Outlaws was the first FPS to introduce gun reloading and the first to add a zoom-in sniper scope. The Remaster adds a weapon select wheel, so you can swap between your trusty six-shooting .45 Revolver, Scoped .44 Rifle, and other weapons with ease. Also includes 26 achievements to unlock and a vault of behind the scenes content.
