BRING HOME THE HORROR

Deluxe editions include a deluxe case, steelbook, sew-on patches, key art poster, and a replica of Captain Blake’s ID card.

In the frozen arctic tundra, a mysterious shape-shifting alien has wiped out the crew of the U.S. Outpost #31 research facility. Players step into the boots of Captain J.F. Blake, the leader of a US Army Special Forces rescue team, sent to investigate the blood-curdling events that transpired in the original The Thing film. Trapped by the elements and at risk of infection by a horrific entity, Blake must keep his squad together to survive by gaining their trust and ensuring that their fear and paranoia don't get the best of them … or himself.

The Thing: Remastered is a faithful restoration of the 2002 third-person survival horror shooter inspired by Universal Pictures' genre-defining 1982 film, The Thing. Nightdive Studios has upgraded this classic for the modern era with hand-crafted improvements to character models, textures, and animations. The suspenseful and disgustingly detailed remaster reanimates the thrilling game for modern audiences.

Awesome piece!

It's great to have, but the steelbook is more for holding the goodies instead of the game disk. There is no disk tray in the steelbook.

No disc tray in steelbook

Who’s bright idea was it to not put a disc tray in the steelbook, what’s the point of a steelbook if it can’t hold the disc, just buy the normal physical don’t waste your money on the deluxe edition

The Thing Remasters Mess

How do you make a steel case with no disk insert or cartridge insert
this game is a mess of bugs characters stand on air and pass thru objects the shouldn't and NPC get trapped and glitch. How is this a remaster when there are so many problems

Steelbook has nothing to hold the game

As others have said the steelbook has nothing to hold the cart (I purchased the switch version). How this was overlooked is beyond me. My guess is so they don’t have to spend the time or money to individualize the Xbox/ps5 cases vs the switch. Shame on you Atari. This is the one and only thing I’ll ever buy from you again.
