The absolute best Atari collection out there currently.

There have been an abundance of Atari collections since Atari bowed out of the console market in the 90s. The Gameboy, the SNES got collections and basically every major console since then has had some way to enjoy a collection of old Atari games. Which is why it's impressive that I'm confident saying this is absolute best one and it's not even close. The emulation is perfect and the selection of games is nearly perfect. the presentation is engaging, intuitive, and informative. The DLCs add some great games and it's fun to compare the different ports of the same game. Bottom line, get this collection if you have an even a passing interest in trying vintage Atari or even just enjoying video game history presented in a wonderful way.

There's Value - And Then There's This

I really can't imagine a better value for the money when it comes to a retro games collection. For less than fifty cents a game, you get access to some all-time classics - including Tempest 2000! That's worth the asking price alone, in my book. Heck, they just could've called this "Tempest 2000 and a bunch of other games" and it would still be worth the cash. Buy it, love it, and kick yourself for not picking it up sooner :P

Why don't you own this already?

Buy it, and ALL of the DLCs! Especially if you can catch it on sale. I've been returning to this collection weekly since it released a few years back. I still think there's room for 2 or 3 more DLCs - an Activision collection, something that showcases the very best of the Jaguar (Doom, Alien vs. Predator, Iron Giant 2, etc), and a DLC that's all about the thriving homebrew community that exists around Atari. That said, the documentary content is A+, and there are games of every imaginable kind here, and so many of the very best! ENJOY!

Great Collection/Gaming History Lesson

I really enjoyed this collection! It goes more in depth about the development of the games and is more like an interactive history lesson on Atari. The expanded version really covers a lot in gaming history and how Atari impacted it. Highly recommended!

Great Games,

This is an amazing collection. The presentation is top notch. Its interface is visually pleasing in a way that “menus” usually aren’t…there is no way around it. It’s also an incredible deal. The fun to cost ratio is great!

this is AMAZING! I bought it when it FIRST came

this is AMAZING! I bought it when it FIRST came out, and then (even though I could have just gotten the DLC) I bought the newer version that included the latest DLC. I just downloaded the LATEST DLC the other day - it keeps getting better! A+

This was my "gateway" drug!

Our daughter has a Switch. I bought this as soon as it came out and it reintroduced me to Atari. Since my wife and I started playing this, I have become an Atari addict - I'm watching James on ZPH as I write this review! The Atari company and community are just doing amazing work to the point I don't plan to support any other gaming company anytime soon!

A wonderful journey through Atari history

Lots of bonus content, interviews with original development teams, and playable games allow for a logical progression through the life of Atari and its platforms. I thought I knew a lot about Atari, but I discovered a lot of things I never knew.

Game!

Easily a must-have if you enjoy Atari. Great historical perspective; my only ask would be for more non-2600 console games as the other Atari platforms each only have 7 or 8.

When Atari releases, they are purchased

When Atari releases the original games, the digital copies are purchased.

I still enjoy playing them from 2600 to arcade.

Immersive experience into the history of Atari

Immersive experience into the history of Atari. The vast amount of content give it a museum exhibit feel on a game cartridge. Classic games, some original some re-imagined, make this a super fun released. 10/10 for execution of presentation and product. I only give 4 stars, because, while this was the true birth of home arcade-dom, the games are of their time and are only fun as an occasional revisit, rather than an everyday play. Still, very fun!

Great collection to both play and learn!

I really enjoy playing this collection. It has some fun games I had as a kid but no longer have access to and it also taught me so much about the history of Atari. The documentaries are a treat and they're incredibly well done and informative. This collection is an awesome experience!

WOW

I thought I knew a lot about the history of Atari. This collection gives a unique insight into the company and the product development process in an easy-to-navigate timeline format, with many games discussed playable from the branches in which they are discussed. I'm still working through the collection!

List the games!!

1st foremost list the games on each release by name on ur ads in the comments and on ur game covers! Nobody gives a rats azz about other image or graphic on ur ads or on the game cases except list of what games they include no matter what ‘ special addition’ they are!

Memories unlocked

This is a great assortment of games. In the days of Minecraft and Fortnite, it's refreshing to see my kids laugh and squeal while playing Surround, Outlaw, and Combat. My son is obsessed with Vctr Sctr.
