Updating your Intellivision Sprint console is a quick and easy process. Before you begin, you will need:
- A computer (PC, Mac or Linux) with an internet connection and a USB port.
- A blank USB thumb drive.
Step 1: Prepare the USB Thumb Drive
- Download the file updater .zip file.
- Copy the file to a blank USB thumb drive.
Please note: Do not unzip the file! The update will fail if the file is unzipped.
Step 2: Update the Intellivision Sprint
- Make sure the Intellivision Sprint is plugged into a power source and connected to a TV or monitor.
- With the Intellivision Sprint turned OFF, insert the USB stick into the “USB” port on the back of the console.
- Power ON your TV and Intellivision Sprint.
- The screen will display an “Update System” message.
- After approximately 10 seconds a message will appear saying “Update Successful.”
- The console will automatically restart.
- Once the console has restarted you can remove the USB thumb drive. The update is complete.
Day One Firmware Update Notes:
The Day One update includes the following changes:
- Added high score saving for games that support it.
- Added QR Codes for every game that link to online user manuals.
- Description and screenshots for the selected game will remain on screen while scrolling the game carousel.
