HELICOPTER EMERGENCY RESCUE OPERATION

There’s trouble in the mines! Volcanic activity has trapped numerous miners deep underground in this 1984 adventure, developed by John Van Ryzin. The game features impressive graphics for the Atari 2600 and a uniquely vertical take on a platformer. You play as Roderick Hero, an emergency rescue expert, armed with a propeller backpack, helmet laser, and dynamite. Your mission: navigate the vertical maze and rescue all of the trapped miners.

THE GAMES YOU NEED IN YOUR COLLECTION

Activision created some of the most popular and best-selling games for the Atari 2600, including Pitfall!, River Raid, Kaboom!, and more. No collection is complete without these titles. We’re re-releasing the most sought-after Activision games as Standard Editions, featuring a black Atari 2600 game cartridge and new, full-color manual.

THE ORIGINAL VIDEO GAME REBELS

In 1979, four Atari programmers rebelled against the status quo and founded Activision, the world's first third-party video game developer. This collection celebrates our connected history with 39 total re-released Activision games on Atari cartridges.
