My wife gave me this as a gift. I absolutely love it. Good collection of games and it's awesome that Evercade carts work on this as well!

A very nice variety of games from Atari game systems from many different years.

This Atari Edition Super Pocket is wonderful! I really love everything about it and bought a case to protect it. I have not yet secured any cartridges for it, but look forward to those as well. It holds a charge for a long time and the resolution looks beautiful to me. As an old school ATARI 2600 user, I had to have it. Thank you so much!! :)

I got this as a Christmas present and was excited to try it. I grew up with the 2600 and lots of handheld games (Game & Watch series), but this retro collection didn't feel right. One immediate point of friction for me is the control. It's not possible to re-map every game for the same control scheme. Plus any game that used trackball like Centipede, the gameplay is immediately compromised. For the 2600 games, any games that used the paddle controllers, same deal- the games may be perfect emulations, but if you can't control them, what's the point?

A must have for Atari fans. Loaded with the classics we all love.

This is a great little handheld for those wanting to dip their toe into the Evercade ecosystem without spending too much. With a bunch of preloaded games spanning the Atari Consoles and arcades, it's a little bit of everything.

The handheld itself is about the size of a phone (so it fits in your pocket). The screen is pretty good. There are options to turn on scanlines filters, but with as small as the screen is, turning scanlines on tends to darken things more than I'd like. The forward facing speaker is pretty good considering the size. D-pad and buttons feel comfortable and responsive, but with the d-pad being all one piece, you can accidently press left or right while holding down. The shoulder buttons are a bit of pain to get to comfortably, but with the Atari games they are only used for setting the difficulty. If you get other Evercade game cartridges that make use of these shoulder buttons, it will be a bit problematic if you have larger hands.

It includes some of my favorite 2600 games like Solaris, Radar Lock, and Yars Revenge; and 7800 games like Desert Falcon, Dark Chambers, and Food Fight. I would have liked to have seen the 2600 versions of Asteroids and Missile Command, but there is a lot of good stuff on here.

Best part of these Super Pockets are that they are compatible with all the Evercade game cartridges. I recently picked up the Activision Collection 1, which includes 15 Activision 2600 games! Needless to say, that collection just adds to all the Atari goodness!

Nice little purchase, and while there are a bunch of games I like, there are many others I don’t find interesting but it all works out on balance. I like the expandability via Evercade cartridges- just wishing that Evercade kept some of the classic games around eg Pac-man… not sure how their model works.

It was delivered before Christmas and its great!

I bought it mainly for the intellivision cartridges, but the included Atari games are great!

I did not have any dpad issues like that other reviewer. I can mash it just fine and it works great.

I wish in included games came with instruction manuals like the cartridges did.

The d pad is terrible, but I have a fix. You can and will repeatedly press the entire pad down which activates all the directions at once and makes your movement stop.

It makes games nearly unplayable if they require moving in a diagonal or left and right quickly since you just mash left and right at the same time and your dude pauses.

Anyway, I printed a 7mm x .7mm disc and glued it into the center of the d pads membrane (it has a 7mm hole cut right in the center) which lifts the d pad up just enough for it to pivot on its center post instead of just lie down like my ex wife in a locker room.

The games are pretty good, some good Lynx games on here too. Sound is good, loads fast, decent options for scan lines and arcade game difficulty.

Definitely a buy if you fix that d pad.

Plays so many different evercades

If you're an Atari fan and want to enter the world of Evercade on a budget, it doesn't get better than this. Reminsicent of the Game Boy design, this handheld will get people talking to you only to find out that it has built-in Atari games and the ability to play Evercade games! My only complaint is that the buttons on the back make it a bit uncomfortable, but it is a lower cost entry to Evercade. Overall, recommended for those on a budget who are trying to get into Evercade while loving Atari.

I love these little Evercade compatible handhelds - I collect them all - they look nice, and play great - only with they offered the "wood grain" model as a NORMAL item, available to everyone and not just a "special" pre-order

Works great. I put in an Intellivision cartridge to restart the late 70s consile wars.

This little device is a lot of fun. It came with 50 great Atari titles. I prefer this system over ones that have a raspberry emulator attached. I think this is becuase I find a system with too many games on it to be overwhelming and difficult to find what I am looking for. The ability to place specific games I to the system when I want to play them makes it a little more usre friendly. It is easy to carry and despite the small screen good picture quality. I enjoy this device a lot.

My wife got this for me this past Father's Day and I think it's a great gift for an Atari fan. The collection of games is just right. It's also great that additional Evercade carts can be played too!
