Countermeasure 2 7800

Its a fun game

I had never played Counter Measure when I was a kid. For whatever reason, it just never came across it. I only had a few games for our Atari 5200, like Star Raiders, Robotron, and Ms. Pac-Man. Fast forward to 2026, I've got my new 7800+, and I'm looking for games! After reading a few posts and watching a few videos, I decide to give Counter Measure 2 a try, and I'm sure glad that I did! This is a great game that I've truly enjoyed playing. A fun and challenging experience that makes me with I had tried the original 5200 version! This makes an excellent addition to any 7800 collection!

Great update to a classic original. The same fun game play but with nice additions that add to the experience without altering what made the original game work. Currently one of my favorite 7800 cartridges and highly recommended!

I bought this because it looked like a way for me to get some Single Player "Combat" action, Countermeasure 2 is all that and a lot more. Big FUN and plenty of replay value. I was honestly surprised at how deep the gameplay is. One Star reduced for the rather annoying Music during the title screen.

A lot more fun and addictive than I expected! Once you know all the power ups the game really comes alive.

Started playing this on "Novice" and made it to the fourth level, was nice progression and not overly easy. I felt it a good way to introduce you to the game. Was extremely fun, I only was checking it out and got wrapped up in to it for 30 minutes, Looking forward to a deep dive on this one. You can almost feel the rumble of the tracks!

This is an incredible game. It was well made and the controls are tight!

Excellent old school game and tons of fun, if not a little frustrating. The little foot soldiers irritate me to no end 😂.

Bob Decrescendo did a great job with this game! The powerups really take this version step beyond the original 5200 game. Took me several days to make it to the bomb and enter the Failsafe code. Nice challenge without being too difficult to improve and move forward in your gameplay.

This may have gone a little under the radar with the other games that came out but it is pretty great! If you ever wanted to play Combat solo this is for you. Plenty of challenge and fun power ups.

This game is great fun! I hope they make the first countermeasure available at some point. Fun tank combat game, along the lines of combat....but more sophisticated. Very well done.

Pretty Cool Game!

My favorite atari game! Not just for the 7800 but in general this game has great strategy and qdicting gameplay. It is easy to pick up and play but challenging to progress. You need to survive for a set amount of time depending on the difficulty. Destroying enemies gives you power ups and parts of the code you need to stop the nukes! It is like playing a Tom Clancy novel so consider yourself jack ryan and get ready to power your tank through multiple environments. Only flaw is that the manual says you can select lives and time for guessing the code but the options are not in this cart.

This is a proper release of a "home brew" game that captures that old school gameplay and is worth a pick up.

I love this game… everytime there is a modern rerelease I have to pick it up .. I am at 2.0 update and it works perfectly in my 7800+ and plays in my original console also :) like all Atari games hours of fun and joystick hand cramps … :)

Fun game, it kind of reminds me of Iron Tank on the NES.

Very nice products.. boxes came undamaged. Bridge the only negative thing is.. it takes so long to get
