Awesome!

Reminiscent for playing Gauntlet except that you don't have to keep dumping quarters in the machine. A great game!!

A True Classic!

Dark Chambers was the Atari 7800 game that I absolutely had to have, and what made me buy my own 7800. I had played the 2600 version, and I had played the 7800 version at a friends house, but I didn't have a 7800 at that time. So, I went out and got one! This is a true classic and very fun to play. Having it as part of my collection for my new 7800+ was a must! Now, I can explore the dark chambers below just like I did back in 1989, and I can play with a friend!

Fun game. Great if you like Berserk or Frenzy but with better graphics.

It’s a decent game but can become repetitive

It’s a decent game but can become repetitive. Feels like there should be an ending not just a loop to the start.

Great release of a true classic

One of my favorite 7800 games has been given new life, and I love it. This release is just as perfect as an original and works great on my original 7800 hardware. If you like Gauntlet, you'll love this!

Dark Chambers 7800 rocks!

My copy of this finally arrived today! It looks great, love the sounds, super fun gameplay to me. I've barely played it, but am so happy with my new game. It met and exceeded my expectations. I do wish that this could work with a standard joystick, but excluding that minor gripe, this is perfect. Thanks ATARI, and please, keep more titles coming for the 7800+! ~ A++++ ~ :)

Great Fun and an Instant Classic

The Game is an Arcade Style dungeon crawler of 8-bit glory! FUN is the formula and they nailed it.

One of the great OG dungeon crawlers!

It would have been cool if this was a double feature cartridge with both the 7800 and 2600 versions! But if you have to pick one, the 7800 version is the way to go! The new cover art on the box is gorgeous, I like it way better than the original art, the manual even has a blurb from the artist and the process he went through in creating it. The game itself is a lot of fun, although a bit simple compared the later dungeon crawlers. You can beat all 26 levels in a play session before it loops back to the beginning level, but with a harder difficulty. The added 2 player mode is a good time as well. If you're a fan of dungeon crawlers, this a great one to explore the roots of the genre!

This game is a ton of fun! The 7800 version is far superior to the 2600 version, so pick this one up!

A Fun Dungeon Crawler for Retro Gaming Obsession

Great game! Played through the level in two full loops and couldn't complete a third loop. The game is more fun to play with a friend!

I have several games for the Atari 7800+ now. Most of which I have bought on Amazon, as Amazon the preferred source for these games for me as the games deliver much quicker through Amazon.

Playing games on Atari 7800+ is very addicting and fun! However, it's so fun that I actually want more games to play. So I'd love to see more fun games released for Atari 7800+. The more the merrier! I know that quality is good, but quality is better in large portions.

I love the Atari 7800+ so much!

Finally, I'd also like to see the Pro Line controller re-released for Atari 7800+. I noticed that some games would more fun to play with the 7800 joystick controller with the two buttons on the sides.

A fantastic Gauntlet style adventure game for retro gamers.

A fantastic Gauntlet style adventure game for retro gamers and anyone looking for some slower paced fun with an old school vibe. You can even play 2 players and explore dungeons together. This may sound simple and unsophisticated but Dark Chambers is more fun that you might expect. I am having a blast playing it.

I had a blast beating this one with my son!

I had a blast beating this one with my 9 year old son over the Christmas Holiday! I never had this game physically and played it at a neighbor’s house as a kid and loved it. I have had Atari games on emulators for decades but LOVE adding a physical cart to my collection and the experience of popping it into a real console. I love my 7800+ and it has been a joy buying a little piece of my childhood back and sharing it with my kids. Could you do some enhanced classics like the Wizard of War Arcade homebrew game and make them available in cartridge form? I got Frenzy and loved it! (so did my son!)
