I purchased under the “Limited to 50 units” sales pitch…which now it is not

Initially released as limited to 50 units…when they sold out Atari released an additional 50??? Knowing that, I would not have paid $319 for a 1/5 machine. I bought it as a collector, and it just lost value with the endless release approach.

Thanks for your review, and apologies for the confusion. To clarify, the “50 available” text message you received referred to the initial batch available on Atari.com — it wasn’t intended to indicate a limited-edition or collector’s release. After that first allotment sold out, the manufacturer provided an additional allotment for Atari.com. This is an evergreen product that’s also available directly from the manufacturer and through other retailers (including Amazon).

Product is awesome.. shipping was another story. Boxed arrived partially crushed but customer service quickly made amends.

Really well built and fun

This is a great little arcade cabinet. The controls, especially the spring loaded thruster paddle is really well made and feels super solid and responsive. I didn't realize it had a rechargable battery so it doesn't even need to be plugged in all the time. It's great to play a game or two while walking by.
