CX40+ Wireless Joystick

No more dead zones and sticky wires. I can finally play my 2600 without a wire strung across the room. No noticeable delay and feels 100% accurate.

It is a little stiff, but not as bad as the original and stiff is better than super loose. I wish it were Bluetooth instead of a dongle.

It works great on PC. A lot of games and applications don't recognize it, but a lot do. Using a third-party app like JoyToKey made it work for almost anything that just needs one button and movement.

Works well and feels great.
Only negative is the DB9 wireless adapter fits so tightly into original hardware it only inserts about 3/4 of the way.

This thing beats the OG controller. It feels good, works great, c and is wireless. It has USB, and 9 pin. It is really a good value. I love it!

These work muxj better than my 50 year old sticks!

This joystick feels an awful lot like the original. It seems very well made. I'm using it to play Leaderboard Golf on the Commodore 64 Ultimate and there seems to be zeros lag. I liked it so much that I bought a second and put away my Wico wired joysticks.

B: also nice it includes a old style atari compatible receiver so you can use it with 80s atari equipment. Not just a USB dongle.

Took way too long to recive. I had to message Atari and they claim the wearhouse missed up the order.

The Atari Gaming Console7800+ is not worth the trouble, and is heartbreaking and entirely disappointing for those of us that wanted to revisit our childhoods and engage in retro gaming on our awesome smart televisions. I would give this system and its wholly unresponsive controllers -- both joysticks and paddles -- negative star ratings if I could. This is more frustrating than enjoyable. I am beside myself!

Works perfectly with my vintage 2600. Feels and plays like the original…but now wire free!

The wireless seems a little funky and not necessarily works on all devices? But it works well on the devices that it works on

If you’ve ever tried to get a modern joystick , you know how much of them are junk. Atari actually out in the effort to not only recreate a proper one here, but the updated internals are also more resilient than the originals with switches that don’t wear out with use. It does feel slightly stiff when it first arrives but after a few play session it feels basically like the originals

Very responsive.

Not very responsive. Makes playing games like Pac-Man very difficult and really kills the nostalgia of playing games from my childhood. Luckily I still have the original controllers from my 7800 that are backwards compatible with the 7800+ and they still work great.

I love this joystick! The wireless responsiveness is top notch, the joystick itself is solid and high-quality, and it looks and feels just like the OG joysticks from the 70s and 80s. I’m very pleased and would highly recommend!

I was skeptical but this controller works beautifully.
So impressed. Hats off to the designers for making it possible to relive my childhood. Absolutely love it.

Got here 3 days early. They work like a charm.

I cannot figure out how to use the wireless controller. Instructions were almost non-existant.

My order is an xmas present. Haven’t used it yet. Contact me after the new year.

I was hesitant to go back to a joystick after years of using D-Pads and analog sticks, but using the CX40 felt very natural. I adjusted to it rather quickly. It works great and I didn't notice and latency.

The one i bought Pacman yellow, had issues staying connected with the usb dongle, once connected the joystick stopped doing anything even in windows calibrate screen it showed it there but the buttons etc did nothing unless i pulled the dongle out and put back in, i ended up sending it back..

I like it! It doesn't get as much use as my 7800+ wireless gamepad, but it's nice! I use it mostly on my laptop (with the dongle) with an emulator -but def feels like the OG

I quite liked the light up nature of the Wireless VCS joystick, but these are very convenient for plugging into PC or og/reboot hardware.

My only complaint would be a lack of compatibility for the VCS or PS4 (Atari 50 support). It'd be a nice bonus.

I use this product all the time. Whether it is with the 2600 or 7800+ line or on my computer with Stella, this controller delivers the retro/modern needs of my gaming desires. I experience no lag, versatility and great control, fit and feel of the original CX40. I'm very happy they made this.

Had to get these with the 7800+. Have been picking up original 2600 games so we needed 2 so we can play our favorites like the old days. The controller is also great for Stella on the laptop!!!!!!!!

This wireless controller to me feels exactly like the original I got back in 1979. I love the wireless connectivity. tried it out on my PC in steam as i'm currently awaiting the Pac-Man 2600+. If you loved the old controller you cant go wrong here.

Wow!!! I can play atari 2600 wireless on my HDTV. This joystick is amazing with no noticeable lag
